Loblaws Bread Price Fixing and What They're Doing About It

Loblaw Companies Ltd., which admitted Tuesday it had been fixing bread prices for 15 years, turned itself in to the Competition Bureau under an amnesty program in connection with the bread-pricing scheme.

As many of us have learned, Loblaws has uncovered and confessed to a 14 year Price Fixing scheme with Weston.

If you haven't yet heard, more details HERE.

The brands include fresh and frozen baked goods sold as Dempster’s, Villagio, Vachon, Stonemill, Weston, Wonder, D’Italiano, Country Harvest and others.

As a token of good faith, Loblaws is offering a $25 gift card to everyone who registers on their site as being affected by the price fixing.  You must be over the age of 18, no receipt is required, and you have to have bought a Westone bread product before March 1, 2015.

Loblaws has a website where you can sign up with your email, as the compensation is not active until January 8.  Visit the site HERE and register.
